Simplicity

“Sometimes, you need to step outside, get some air, and remind yourself of who you are and who you want to be.”  Scott Fitzgerald

When a woman feels perfectly dressed, she can forget about herself. This is called charm. The more you forget about yourself, more charm you will have.
The only way to learn about our passions is to pay attention to our feelings. Only with patience and perseverance you can acquire results. Most of the time our mind can’t decide what it wants, so it needs principles to help it express itself in a balanced way.
If we focus on the present and leave the past behind, we could realize the power that we hold and more things we will be able to accomplish.

This material was in the wardrobe more than a month, waiting and waiting. Even I wasn’t sure what I was waiting. I unfolded and folded it countless times.
That day I sew a dress and I was very disappointed of the end result, Ginger was all over the material, stealing my needles and more to that the sewing machine was stitching it wrong. Honestly that dress was a total failure, I needed to start something fresh.

Never doubt the success of your projects. For me, this dress was a success, everything went smoothly and I finished it in a hour.
I used a gradient pleated silk material, very nice at touch and with a wonderful texture. Thoughts have an incredible power.
If you say to yourself that you are not a creative person, you will never become one. Every one of us is gifted with resources, talent and creativity even if we don’t realize this.

Ro:

  1. From the cover picture: “Vision is the art of seeing the invisible.”
I am trying to get rid of the habit of assuming others can see what could be, like I do. I seek out people for help, present them my story in order to invoke sympathy, and don’t realize that they operate on a much lower level, way more egoistical, probably unaware of that, thinking it’s ‘normal’.
On the other side, I habitually see what could be, and rarely can I help people bring it out in themselves, because of said widespread mindset that makes people sabotage themselves, too, only seeing what they are at the time.
I have learned to instead play an act, present what is not reality yet, to make it easy for others to see me like a businessman sees a worthy investment opportunity.
It’s an alienating experience. Especially since I myself have been ostracized for being an egoist in my youth. Suddenly egoism is the new black and I didn’t get the memo.
But this also gives me more confirmation than ever that I am a saint, and that I can abandon some altruism if I deem it necessary for self-fulfillment without having to feel like a devil.

    • Who in the freak are you, I have never met another person who feels exactly the way I do, almost word for word. especially “assuming others can see what could be, like I do. I seek out people for help, present them my story in order to invoke sympathy, and don’t realize that they operate on a much lower level” Here is the link to my blog, http://rosabella82.wordpress.com/. I would love to have yours as well.

Hugs from another person who feels you.

      • Thank you for the feedback. It seems there are more people like us than it appears at first. There’s a virtually unlimited creative potential among humankind, stifled by the rigid structures around it.
I’ve put your blogs in browser tabs and will check them out once I find the energy. (One of my frequent problems.)
You can find all my web presences via a click on my name. I’ve been relatively active on Twitter lately.

  2. Thanks for the follow! Loved your blog. Reflecting on your statement: “When a woman feels perfectly dressed, she can forget about herself.” and letting it sink in. I tend to spend too much time in my mind, too less in the physical world, but aim to get in touch with my physical self this year, focusing on nurturing not just my mind but also my body.

  4. What a gorgeous dress! And a gorgeous blog at that. I love the overall look of your blog, with the watercolor fashionista an all. I came here to thank for the follow but I just might stick around. It doesn’t come across much in my blog but I am very fond of fashion. I just feel like I am not photogenic enough to do fashion in my blog. Clearly that’s not a problem for you C:
