Why do we love roses?

Because maybe they are the most simple flowers. Maybe this is too simple said. The perfume gives their uniqueness. A rose is quite complex and refined. Every one of us has a different version of roses in their heads.  Roses come in so many shapes and colours and because of that became one of the most loved flowers.

The roses are such great flowers and deserve to be appreciated because of the happiness that we feel when we get them. Right now, Cluj is full of all kinds of roses of different sizes and colours. You can see them on the streets, on the people’s yards and bring joy and smiles every time you admire their beauty and perfume.

  1. I think that women in particular like roses because they are symbols of romantic love. I prefer other flowers such as daisies. Somehow the sight of a daisy always make me feel happy.

  6. Roses! Aaaah…my favourite flowers. Visions to behold, Scents to absorb, Timeless moments in time as they grow, blossom, shine, then fade and fall. A lifetime in the pause.

  8. I love roses because of their rich colors and their breathtaking beauty. They have symbolic versatility. Roses have been so celebrated for so long—the Minoans grew and painted roses in the Bronze Age—that it’s difficult to pinpoint the source of their popularity. One possible explanation is that roses represent all things to all people. They represent virginity, and particularly the Virgin Mary. Medieval brides and grooms wore crowns of roses to represent their purity. In England, roses were laid on the graves of virgins. But roses also represent passion and romance. Lovers exchange roses as a prelude to intimacy. Roses symbolize suffering. Christiany uses the red rose as a symbol of Jesus Christ’s bodily suffering, as well as the blood of other saints. Yet roses also symbolize the peace that awaits people in heaven. Old Christian texts describe paradise as strewn with roses. (Plus, I’ve been able to avoid sleeping on the couch several times by coming home with a dozen roses.)
